The official start of the connection to the power grid process to the electricity distribution network happens when you submit a connection request to us, the distribution operator. Download the request form below and complete it.

For your request to reach us, you have two options.

 

The first option is to create an online account on our website here and upload the completed request directly to your account, where you can continue all the steps of the connection process.

The second option is to go to one of your electricity supplier’s customer service centers and submit the connection request there. Keep in mind that if you start the process this way, you will need to return to the service center at other stages of the connection process.

 

In addition to the connection to the power grid request, you also need to submit other documents at this stage. You can find more information about these documents here.

We will evaluate the submitted request and documentation and provide a response within a maximum of ten working days. If you submitted the documents online, you will be notified in your account. If you submitted them at your supplier’s service center, we will notify the supplier, who will then contact you.

If the submitted documents are correct and complete, you will receive our approval and the invoice for issuing the Connection Technical Approval (ATR). We will send you the ATR after you have paid this invoice. You can find information about the costs of issuing the ATR and the connection process here. For payment, follow the instructions on the invoice, which will also provide information about available payment methods.

If the documents submitted for the connection are incorrect or incomplete, you will receive a response from us or your supplier, specifying the modifications or additions required.

We, the distribution operator, will determine the technical connection solution (installation route and necessary materials) within a maximum of 30 calendar days and, based on this, the connection to the power grid costs. These details will be included in the ATR, a document we issue, but which will only be sent to you after you have paid the invoice mentioned in second step.

 

Once you receive the ATR, you can contest it if, for example, the proposed connection solution does not seem suitable. You can do this by submitting a request online through your account or physically through your supplier within a maximum of 30 calendar days from receiving the ATR. You will receive our response within a maximum of 30 calendar days.

For the actual connection works to begin, you need to decide whether to carry them out with us, the distribution operator, or through a company certified by ANRE. You can find the list of ANRE-certified companies here.

Once you choose who will handle the connection to the power grid works, you need to pay the invoice for issuing the ATR if you have not done so already. As soon as you have the ATR, download the request for signing the connection and design/execution contract. Complete it and send it to us either through your online account or via your supplier.

We will evaluate your request, and if the submitted information is complete and correct, we will send you the proposed connection contract within a maximum of five working days.

You pay the connection to the power grid costs, which are detailed in the connection to the power grid contract.

The distributor or the ANRE-certified company you have chosen will design and execute the connection to the power grid works. At this stage, additional documents/permits may be required for the works, which will be obtained by the project executor. These documents/permits will reach us either through your online account or via your supplier.

 

Once all permits are obtained, execution works will begin, which must be completed within a maximum of 90 calendar days – only if the distribution operator is managing the connection works.

An ANRE-certified company of your choice will prepare the user installation file, which includes several necessary documents for the connection to the power grid process to continue. Learn more about the documents required for the user installation file here. You will negotiate and pay a fee directly to the chosen company for preparing the file. The complete file must reach us – either through your online account, via your supplier, by email (to the address indicated in the ATR), or by uploading it here.

We verify the completed works, and if everything is in order, we commission the connection installation (the installation outside your property, up to the meter).

Within a maximum of three days after completing the previous step, we issue the connection certificate, a document certifying the addition of a new consumption point to the network, meaning your home will be able to use the electricity supplied.

To use electricity in your home, you need to sign a contract with an electricity supplier from whom you will receive monthly bills for your electricity consumption. After signing the contract with the supplier, we will install the meter at your home.

After signing the contract with the supplier, in accordance with the law, we will install the meter that will record your electricity consumption and energize the user installation within a maximum of five working days.

At the end of the connection process, we will adjust the costs based on the expenses stated in the ATR and other documents submitted by the executor of the works. After the cost adjustment, if applicable, we will refund part of the connection expenses based on a calculation formula established by ANRE.
