How to become a prosumer and what you need to do to connect to the power grid?

Find out how you can become a prosumer at home with the help of photovoltaic panels, which you will use to generate electricity for your own consumption and, at the same time, deliver the surplus energy to our distribution network.

Prosumer file: main steps to follow

The most important steps you need to complete to become a prosumer are:

  • installing a panel system with a maximum installed capacity of 400 kW;
  • connecting to the electricity distribution network;
  • signing a purchase-sale contract for the produced and delivered energy with a supplier.

What price will you receive for each kWh injected into the distribution network?

If, during sunny periods, you generate more energy than you consume, you can benefit from the quantity compensation mechanism – if you produce less than 200 kW.

Quantity compensation means that you will be able to use the surplus energy injected into the grid during less sunny periods, such as winter or rainy days.

If the installed capacity of your photovoltaic system is between 200 and 400 kW, you will be able to sell the surplus energy to your supplier at the price specified in the contract.

How do you connect to the distribution network?

There are different situations in which you can become a prosumer. In each of them, you will need to follow certain steps to connect to our electricity distribution network. See details here.

List of ANRE-certified inverters

Inverters are among the most important pieces of equipment in a photovoltaic system. Prosumers can only use certain inverters on the market, which are deemed compliant by the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE).
