Our activity

Our core activity is electricity distribution. We embrace an innovative working style: we act with agility and focus on digitalization. We invest in smart and resilient grids. Every year, we distribute over 15 TWh of electricity through 134,000 kilometers of high, medium, and low-voltage networks, including overhead and underground power lines.
Our activity
The services we offer are:
- connection to the power grid – connecting customers to the power grid;
- electricity distribution – supplying electricity to customers connected to the power grid;
- consumption measurement – installing and maintaining meters, monitoring, and reporting electrical measurements.
We serve over three million customers: residential, business, developers, and energy producers.
Objectives
We prioritize digitalization and safety. Discover our key objectives!

Smart grid – The Networks of the Future
We are transforming the networks we manage into smart grids through digitalization and continuous investments in modernization projects. A resilient network – where incidents are easily detected and resolved quickly, sometimes remotely – is one of our main objectives.

Quality and safety
Our priorities include improving service quality by reducing the number and duration of power outages, increasing the safety of installations, ensuring health and safety for our employees, partners, and customers, minimizing environmental impact, and reducing technical and commercial losses in electricity networks.
Compliance programs
We comply with the legal separation requirements between electricity distribution companies and energy supply companies within the PPC Group, including in communications and advertising. We adhere to the provisions of the Regulation on compliance program monitoring by the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), approved by ANRE Order No. 97/2021, amended and supplemented by ANRE Order No. 90/2023. Check our compliance programs to ensure we fulfill our legal obligations.
Romania
The compliance agent: The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has appointed Gabriel Negru (phone number 0752028407, e-mail address negru18expert@gmail.com) as the compliance officer for a four-year term, starting January 1, 2024, through authorizations No. 65/20.12.2023 (for Rețele Electrice Muntenia – as the absorbing company of the companies Rețele Electrice Banat S.A. and Rețele Electrice Dobrogea S.A., renamed Rețele Electrice România S.A.).
