The investment, estimated at over 54 million lei (excluding VAT), aims to strengthen the high-voltage distribution grid in the Dobrogea region, for a more robust network capable of taking on new consumption and evacuating energy produced from renewable sources. The new line will be 8.4 kilometres long.
Rețele Electrice România, part of the PPC group in Romania, will start a project worth about 86 million lei (VAT included) for the modernization three 110 kV high-voltage power lines in Constanța county, as well as a 110 kV line in Tulcea county.
The project to modernise the Filaret primary substation started in 2019 and was carried out in stages, in order to maintain continuity in the supply of consumers. The substation currently serves more than 25,600 customers in the southern area of Bucharest
The substation’s current capacity of 65 Mega-Volt Amperes (MVA) will be increased by adding a new power transformer, of 40 MVA, in addition to the two existing ones. The Cetate substation can take over, if necessary, the power supply of adjacent stations, serving a number of about 51,000 customers.
The new machines will allow the company’s teams to intervene faster and in increased safety conditions on the network, reducing the duration of interruptions experienced by customers.

Rețele Electrice România, part of the PPC group in Romania, has invested over 12 million lei in modernization works of the 110 kV Azur transformer substation, which serves over 3,400 customers in the eastern area of Timișoara.
The investment of 26 million lei is part of the company’s strategy to increase the quality and resilience of the electricity distribution service in its areas of responsibility.
Projects to be carried out include connections, network reinforcements, and the expansion of transformer stations and power lines .
