Connection to the power grid: building a house and installing panels with installed capacity below 400 kW

The power grid connection process starts when you submit a connection request (Appendix 1) to us, the distribution operator.

After completing it, it is important to send it to us. Create an online account on our website and upload the completed request.

If the documents are complete and correct, you will receive the invoice for the technical grid connection approval (ATR). After paying the invoice, you will receive the ATR. Information about the costs related to issuing the ATR and the connection to the power grid can be found here.

Payment instructions are included in the issued invoice. If the documents are incomplete or incorrect, you will receive a response with the necessary clarifications or modifications.

The distribution operator determines the technical connection solution (the route and necessary materials) within a maximum of 15 working days. These details will be included in the ATR, which you will receive after paying the invoice. If you are not satisfied with the proposed technical solution, you can contest the ATR within 30 calendar days. We will respond within a maximum of 30 calendar days.

To start the power grid connection works, you need to choose whether they will be carried out by the distribution operator or by a company certified by the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE).

After choosing the option, make sure you have paid the ATR invoice if you haven’t already. Once you have obtained the ATR, download the request for signing the connection contract from here, complete it, and send it to us from your online account.

After evaluating the request, if all information is correct and complete, we will send you the connection to the power grid contract within a maximum of three working days.

You sign the connection to the power grid contract you received from us.

You pay the connection to the power grid costs according to the details in the connection contract.

The distribution operator or the company certified by ANRE will design and execute the connection to the power grid works. In this step, certain additional documents or approvals may be required, which the executor will obtain. The documents will be transmitted online. After obtaining all approvals, the execution works for your connection must be completed within a maximum of 90 calendar days.

A company certified by ANRE, chosen by you, prepares the usage installation file, which contains the necessary documents to continue the process. We verify the executed works, and if everything is in order, the grid connection installation (the installation outside your property, up to the meter) will be put into operation.

Within three days after completing the works and conducting the tests, we issue the grid connection certificate, a document confirming that your new consumption and production location is connected to the grid.

To use and inject electricity into the power grid, you must sign a contract with an electricity supplier. After signing the contract, we will install the meter at your home.

After signing the contract with the supplier, we will install the electric meter and energize the usage installation within a maximum of five working days.

At the end of the grid connection process, we will recalculate the costs based on the documents and expenses provided in the ATR. If applicable, you will receive a partial reimbursement of costs, according to the calculation formulas established by ANRE that we apply.
