Rețele Electrice România, part of the PPC group in Romania, has invested over 12 million lei in modernization works of the 110 kV Azur transformer substation, which serves over 3,400 customers in the eastern area of Timișoara.
The investment of 26 million lei is part of the company’s strategy to increase the quality and resilience of the electricity distribution service in its areas of responsibility.
Projects to be carried out include connections, network reinforcements, and the expansion of transformer stations and power lines .
The electrical networks in question serve customers in Brebu Nou, Gărâna and the Lake Trei Ape recreational area. The total value of the modernization project is 57.6 million lei (VAT included), with funding partially secured through the Modernization Fund via a grant of up to 37.8 million lei. The estimated duration of the works is 31 months.
