Rețele Electrice România launches a tender of up to 465 million lei for works in the distribution networks in the Dobrogea area

Bucharest – Rețele Electrice România has launched on the electronic public procurement platform SEAP a public tender with a maximum value of up to 465 million lei (excluding VAT), for the execution of modernization and maintenance works in the medium and low voltage installations in the Dobrogea operational area, respectively in the counties of Constanța, Călărași, Ialomița and Tulcea.

Through these investment and maintenance works, we continue the modernization and digitalization of the electricity grid, in order to create a resilient and robust  energy infrastructure, given the challenges brought by both the energy transition and climate change. The goal is to provide customers with a quality distribution service, both for domestic comfort and for supporting and developing economic activities.

The tender aims to purchase works on medium and low voltage installations in the Dobrogea area, both in the category of maintenance and modernization of networks and consolidation of the electrical infrastructure. The maintenance work aims to carry out technical revisions and fix potential problems as quickly as possible.

For the execution and modernization works, the following will be carried out: network extensions in the installations of Rețele Electrice România, the execution of medium and low voltage overhead and underground lines, overhead connections and transformer substations, as well as works on the medium voltage busbars of the transformer stations.

Also, works are planned to modernize the existing installations, secure the metering groups, improve the voltage level in the existing grid networks, grid network reinforcement works.

The duration of the contract is 60 months, starting from the date of signing the framework agreement by both parties.

Rețele Electrice România assumes its responsibility for environmental protection by applying a certified management system, which aims to reduce the impact of its activities on the environment. The company responsibly manages the waste resulting from the electricity distribution activity, complying with the legislation in force and its own integrated system, ensuring their reuse, recovery or disposal through authorized economic operators.

During all stages of execution of the works awarded following the tender, the applicable legal and regulatory requirements in the field of environmental protection will be strictly observed, as well as the relevant standards in force.

Rețele Electrice România operates electricity networks with a total length of approximately 134.000 kilometers across three important regions of the country: Southern Muntenia (including Bucharest), Banat and Dobrogea, covering one-third of the local distribution market, and developing a program of investments aimed at improving the service quality, the network safety and performance, and local implementing of the PPC Group’s environmental standards. The electricity networks operated by Rețele Electrice România include 289 substations and more than 25.000 secondary substations.
