Power outages

Did your TV turn off, the outlets stop working, and the lights won’t turn on? If that’s the case, it means the space you are in—at home or at the office—is experiencing a power outage.

Check for power outages at your address

Enter your POD in the field below to check if there is a scheduled or accidental power outage at your address.

POD

The POD is an identification code for your electricity consumption point, as recorded by the distributor. Its format varies depending on your electricity distributor. You can find the POD on the bill you receive from your electricity supplier.

Planned outages

Check the planned outages for the upcoming period.

The cause of the outage may be accidental. Or ‘unexpected,’ as we call it. Accidental outages are often caused by faults in our installations and equipment due to severe weather conditions (heatwaves, blizzards, heavy rain, storms), unauthorized excavations, exceptionally high electricity consumption in certain periods (especially summer and winter), or electricity theft.

Your home or business may also experience a planned power outage due to network modernization or maintenance. Find out more about planned power outages here.
