Bucharest<\/strong> \u2013 Re\u021bele Electrice Rom\u00e2nia, part of the PPC group in Romania, is developing the electricity distribution infrastructure in Bucharest, with ongoing projects worth approximately 70 million lei to increase the transmission capacity of high-voltage networks, while increasing the network\u2019s resilience. The company is carrying out an extensive program to modernize the high-voltage infrastructure, which includes cable replacements, modernization of power stations and the implementation of advanced technological solutions aimed at reducing energy losses and optimizing load flow management.<\/p>\n\n\n\nAt the same time, Re\u0163ele Electrice Romania continues the process of digitalization of the distribution network, installing state-of-the-art monitoring and control systems, which allow intelligent consumption management and rapid interventions in case of failure. The company is constantly investing in technologies that transform the grid into a smart infrastructure, capable of efficiently integrating renewable sources and ensuring safe and sustainable energy distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thus, during this year, the modernization of the 110 kV Filaret \u2013 Groz\u0103ve\u0219ti high-voltage line was completed. The project, worth a total of approximately 22 million lei, was fully financed by company funds, and is part of the company\u2019s strategy to develop the electricity distribution network, based on the principles of quality, resilience and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new high-voltage line has a transmission capacity of 170 MVA, about 50 MVA more than the previous line, which translates into a significant increase in safety in supplying customers. The investment will bring direct benefits to approximately 70,000 consumers in sectors 4 and 5 of the Capital, an area located in the heart of the city. 60 specialists contributed to the implementation of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, for the first time, the Prysmian network monitoring system was installed for this line, which measures temperature and vibrations, providing real-time information on the state of the infrastructure. Temperature monitoring provides essential data on the condition of the cable, avoiding damage to the insulation, and vibration analysis helps reduce unwanted interventions on its route. This system is part of a broader digitalization program through which the company aims to introduce similar technologies on all modernized high-voltage lines. This modernization concludes a strategic plan aimed at increasing the transfer capacity of energy consumption between different areas of Bucharest, by interconnecting the three injection sources in the national transmission network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nThe completion of the modernization of the Filaret \u2013 Groz\u0103ve\u0219ti line is a strategic investment for Bucharest and an important step towards increasing the safety and reliability of the distribution network. This work is the result of the efforts of our team and a long-term vision, through which we aim to support the development of the city with a modern, digitized and future-ready infrastructure. In addition, the company has several important projects underway that will ensure a more stable and resilient distribution service, given climate change and the increasing need for consumption. Thus, the 110 kV lines Pajura \u2013 B\u0103neasa, Dr. Taberei \u2013 S\u0103laj and Panduri \u2013 Center will be replaced, for the benefit of approximately 100,000 customers in Bucharest. The capacity of these lines will increase by a total value of 240 MVA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Re\u021bele Electrice Rom\u00e2nia will continue in the next period the extensive investment program in high voltage infrastructure, with modernization and expansion projects that will strengthen the energy distribution network and will meet the growing consumption needs of the Capital. The company\u00a0Re\u021bele Electrice Romania\u00a0<\/strong>operates networks with a total length of about 134.000 kilometers in three major areas of the country: Muntenia Sud (including Bucharest), Banat and Dobrogea, covering one third of the local distribution market, and develops an investment program to improve the quality of services, safety and performance of the networks and local implementation of the environmental standards of the PPC group.
