The contracts will be framework agreements, with a duration of 12 months and a maximum estimated cumulative value of 24,25 million euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three distribution operators intend to purchase up to around 300.000 smart meters, the minimum volume being around 120.000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of 2023, the three Re\u021bele Electice companies were the leaders of the electricity distribution segment in Romania in terms of smart metering, with over 1,5 million smart meters installed for residential and business customers: approximately 713.000 at Re\u021bele Electrice Muntenia (which serves Bucharest and the counties of Ilfov and Giurgiu), more than 436.000 at Re\u021bele Electrice Banat (counties of Arad, Cara\u0219 Severin, Hunedoara and Timi\u0219), respectively over 376.000 at Re\u021bele Electrice Dobrogea (counties of C\u0103l\u0103ra\u015fi, Constan\u021ba, Ialomi\u021ba and Tulcea).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting from 2015, Re\u021bele Electrice companies install smart meters for customers in the Banat, Dobrogea and Muntenia regions, in accordance with the implementation schedule established by the National Energy Regulatory Authority. For the current year, the Re\u021bele Electrice companies aim to install over 171.000 smart meters. The equipment for which bids are expected in the open auction are single-phase and direct three-phase smart electronic meters, as well as fully equipped data concentrators (including router\/modem for remote data transmission). All of these must use the Meters & More communication protocol that supports bidirectional data transfer in metering systems, required for example in the case of prosumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Re\u021bele Electrice<\/strong> companies operate networks with a total length of over 133.000 kilometers in three important areas of the country: South Muntenia (including Bucharest), Banat and Dobrogea, covering a third of the local distribution market, and are developing an investment program to improve quality services, safety and performance of networks and local implementation of environmental standards of the PPC group.
