Timi\u0219oara, November 24th 2023 <\/strong>\u2013 Re\u021bele Electrice Banat (part of the PPC group, previously named E-Distribu\u021bie Banat) is the new name of the company that manages the electricity distribution networks in the counties of Arad, Cara\u0219-Severin, Hunedoara and Timi\u0219.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, E-Distribu\u021bie Muntenia was renamed Re\u021bele Electrice Muntenia and E-Distribu\u021bie Dobrogea was renamed Re\u021bele Electrice Dobrogea. The name changes of the distribution operators come after PPC recently completed the acquisition of Enel\u2019s operations in Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the beginning of the activity in the country until 2022, E-Distribu\u021bie Banat has made investments of over two billion lei in the counties where it operates. The latest project of E-Distribu\u021bie Banat, with significant benefits for the local community in Timi\u0219oara, is the new Covaci primary substation, near Timi\u0219oara. The investment has a total value of about 50 million lei, the equivalent of 10 million euros, including the primary substation and the related medium voltage network. They will serve the industrial area, such as Traian Vuia International Airport, commercial centers, production halls, logistics centers etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customers will continue to benefit from the same quality services, the most advanced technology in electricity distribution and digital customer care services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under its new name, the company will continue its extensive investment program, with the main goal of transforming the energy sector in Romania into a decarbonized, digital, decentralized one, which would offer the economy and society a competitive advantage in a changing world, with a focus especially on the needs of customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The companies Re\u021bele Electrice Muntenia, Re\u021bele Electrice Dobrogea and Re\u021bele Electrice Banat<\/strong> (part of the PPC Group, formerly known as E-Distribu\u021bie Muntenia, E-Distribu\u021bie Dobrogea and E-Distribu\u021bie Banat) operate networks with a total length of over 133.000 kilometres across three key regions of the country: South Muntenia (including Bucharest), Banat and Dobrogea.
